Services

Please note that we are not a crisis service and due to limited capacity, we are unable to support those with complex mental health needs.

Counselling

Individual

Individual therapy can be an important part of your self-care routine. Whether you are seeking services because you haven’t been feeling like yourself lately, or because of long-standing mental health concerns, it can be helpful to work with a therapist to make meaningful change.

Groups

Group counselling is a form of counselling where a small group of people meet regularly to discuss, interact, and explore problems with each other and the group. Group counselling seeks to give individuals a safe and comfortable place where they can work out problems and emotional concerns. People who participate in counselling groups benefit in many ways.

Peer Support

Peer support is a relationship between individuals with a common shared experience in mental health challenges. This relationship is built on the authentic experiences of the individuals and focuses on instilling hope in the recovery journey.

Shared Care with Family Physicians

Family physicians are the first point of contact with patients who are struggling with mental health. Patients feel most comfortable opening up and discussing their mental health needs with their primary care provider. Constant communication between the mental health team and the family physician will also be a priority to ensure best practices.

All sessions are 50 minutes in length and social work services are often covered by many health insurance plans or private health care plans, including workplace and university/college benefits.

Couples

Relationships are not easy. Anyone who has been in a relationship for any amount of time will probably agree. But sometimes, it’s harder than it should be. At My Conscious Mind we are educated and trained couples counselors that will help you and your partner identify your most pressing issues, and then help develop a plan of action.

Families

Family issues are some of the most common concerns for clients. Whether navigating relationships with your partner, children, or extended family, we could all use some extra support in understanding our interactions and building meaningful connections. If you are having problems in your family environment, it can be helpful to talk to a trained family expert about your problems.

Student therapy

Navigating through school, college or university can be a time where you create memories that you will remember for a lifetime but it can also be a very stressful time. Whether you are struggling with academic stressors, making career choices, or having challenges with peers, we can help!

E-Therapy

E-Therapy

Online counselling offers convenience, flexibility, and many other benefits that are leading people to choose internet counselling over in-person counselling. Our e-therapy program is offered over email and will include modules and therapist support. This is a great option for those with busy schedules and want to develop coping strategies and skills at their own pace with a therapist.
