If you feel like you would like someone to speak to immediately or you feel you cannot keep yourself safe, distress and crisis lines can provide in the moment support and are open 24 hours a day (unless otherwise specified):

Cultural services

Naseeha: 

Provides Muslim and non-muslim youth with support for a wide array of life stressors and challenges with mental health.
Peer-counsellors provide immediate support over the phone from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm, 7 days a week and text support from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Black Youth Helpline: 

Multicultural youth helpline serves all youth and specifically responds to the needs of Black youth (English, French and other languages available upon request). This is not a crisis line. 9am to 10pm, 7 days a week. Clients can also submit service requests 24 hours a day using the ‘contact us form’ on the website blackyouth.ca.

Talk 4 Healing: 

Provides support for Indigenous women, by Indigenous women, across Ontario, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. in Oji-Cree, Ojibway, Cree, Algonquin, Inuktitut, Mohawk, Oneida, Odawa, Potawatomi, Micmac, Black Foot, Anishinaabe, Moose Cree, Swampy Cree and English and French.

Toronto Rape Crisis Centre/Multicultural Women Against Rape:

Provides confidential crisis intervention and support services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to: anyone who has any form of abuse.

Assaulted Women’s Helpline:

Provides anonymous and confidential crisis counselling 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for all women in Ontario who have experienced any form of abuse.
